This bill prohibits China, Iran, North Korea, or Russia from purchasing property within 10 miles of a sensitive site, such as a U.S. military installation. The prohibition also applies to leases or receiving concessions to property within 10 miles of a sensitive site. For the purposes of this bill, a sensitive site is public or private real estate in the United States that (1) functions as an air or maritime port, (2) is a U.S. military installation, (3) is a U.S. government facility that is sensitive for national security reasons, or (4) could expose U.S. national security activities or intelligence at a military installation or government facility to one of the prohibited countries.
