This bill prohibits the Department of Commerce or the U.S. Census Bureau from carrying out the American Community Survey (ACS) and bars the obligation or expenditure of federal funds to carry out that survey or any similar survey. Currently, the ACS is conducted on a rolling basis by the Census Bureau and covers topics not included on the decennial census, such as education, military service, and internet access.
