H.Con.Res. 101 — Directing the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran.

This section directs the President to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran or any part of its government or military, including potential ground forces in a combat role or for occupation, unless Congress enacts a declaration of war or specific authorization for use of military force against Iran. The section includes a rule of construction providing that it does not prevent the United States from defending itself, its Armed Forces, diplomatic facilities, or allied states from imminent attack; maintaining a defensive troop presence in the region; or removing forces not engaged in hostilities against Iran.

This section provides a rule of construction clarifying that nothing in the resolution may be construed to influence or disrupt intelligence, counterintelligence, or investigative activities relating to threats in or emanating from Iran or surrounding countries, including the collection, analysis, or sharing of intelligence with coalition partners when the President determines such sharing is appropriate and in the national security interests of the United States.
