H.Con.Res. 93 — Directing the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran.

This section directs the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. 1544(c)), to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against Iran, except for any forces necessary to defend the United States or an ally or partner from imminent attack (provided the President fully complies with section 5(b) reporting requirements of the War Powers Resolution (50 U.S.C. 1544(b))), unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or specific congressional authorization for use of military force against Iran. (As background, the War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of introducing forces into hostilities or situations where combat is imminent and limits such engagements to 60 days absent congressional authorization.)
