H.J.Res. 113 — Original Slavery Remembrance Day Resolution

This section establishes the short title as the “Original Slavery Remembrance Day Resolution.”

This section designates an annual Slavery Remembrance Day to remind the public of the evils of slavery, condemns slavery and its progeny, encourages acknowledgment of the importance of slavery remembrance, and authorizes and requests the President to issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
