H.R. 1052 — UNPLUG EVs Act

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “Undoing Nationwide Programs and Limiting Unnecessary Grants for Electric Vehicles Act” or the “UNPLUG EVs Act.”

This section rescinds unobligated balances of amounts appropriated or otherwise made available to carry out the charging and fueling infrastructure grant program under 23 U.S.C. § 151(f) and deposits those funds into the general fund of the Treasury for deficit reduction.

This section rescinds unobligated balances of amounts appropriated for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program under the Federal Highway Administration heading in title VIII of division J of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Public Law 117-58) and deposits those funds into the general fund of the Treasury for deficit reduction. (Thus, only unobligated funds are canceled; obligated amounts remain available for the program.)
