H.R. 1053 — Filipino Veterans Family Reunification Act of 2025

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “Filipino Veterans Family Reunification Act of 2025.”

This section exempts from the immigrant visa numerical limits aliens who are eligible for a visa under section 203(a)(1) or (3) of the Immigration and Nationality Act and who have a parent, whether living or dead, who was naturalized under section 405 of the Immigration Act of 1990 or under title III of the Act of October 14, 1940, as added by section 1001 of the Second War Powers Act of 1942. (Thus, these aliens would no longer count against the annual immigrant visa cap under 8 U.S.C. § 1151(b)(1).)
