H.R. 1146 — No More Funding for NPR Act of 2025

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “No More Funding for NPR Act of 2025.”

This section prohibits the use of Federal funds, directly or indirectly, to support National Public Radio (NPR) or any successor organization after enactment, including through the payment of dues or the purchase of programming by a public broadcast station using Federal funds. It also permanently rescinds unobligated Federal amounts that otherwise would have been allocated to NPR for FY2025 or FY2026. The prohibition and rescission do not apply during periods when the Federal Emergency Management Agency is actively engaged in disaster response activities and the funds are used solely to disseminate urgent public safety information.
