H.R. 1190 — Expanding Access to Capital for Rural Job Creators Act

This section provides the short title of the Act as the “Expanding Access to Capital for Rural Job Creators Act.”

This section expands the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation to include rural-area small businesses in the categories of businesses the office must consider and serve. Specifically, it adds rural-area small businesses after women-owned small businesses in 15 U.S.C. 78d(j)(4)(C) and 78d(j)(6)(B)(iii), thereby broadening the office’s statutory focus on capital access for small businesses in rural communities.
