H.R. 1211 — No Propaganda Act

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “No Propaganda Act.”

This section prohibits the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from receiving any Federal funds after the date of enactment of the No Propaganda Act by adding a new 47 U.S.C. § 396(m) and by revising 47 U.S.C. § 396(g) to bar the Corporation from accepting Federal funds after enactment. It also rescinds any unobligated balances provided under the “Corporation for Public Broadcasting” heading in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (Public Law 117-328) and the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118-47). Finally, it makes a conforming change to 47 U.S.C. § 396(k)(3)(A)(iv)(II) to limit the referenced “amounts received” to amounts received before enactment.
