H.R. 1248 — Ensuring Continuity in Veterans Health Act

This section establishes the short title as the “Ensuring Continuity in Veterans Health Act.”

This section directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to consider continuity of care as a factor in determining whether to authorize care under the Veterans Community Care Program under 38 U.S.C. § 1703(d)(2). (Thus, the Department of Veterans Affairs would have to account for whether a veteran can continue seeing the same provider or care team when deciding whether to refer the veteran to community care.)
