H.R. 1265 — To amend the Save Our Seas 2.0 Act to expand eligibility for certain wastewater infrastructure grants, and for other purposes.

This section expands eligibility for two Environmental Protection Agency grant programs by adding States to the list of entities that may receive funding. Specifically, in subsection (c)(1), it adds “States” before “municipalities” and inserts a comma before “or Indian Tribes,” and in subsection (d)(1), it adds “States” before “units of local government.” (Thus, States would become eligible to apply for grants under the wastewater infrastructure and trash-free waters grant provisions, alongside municipalities, Indian Tribes, and other local entities.)
