H.R. 1302 — GRAIN DRY Act

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “Growing Rural Agricultural Infrastructure Needs to Deliver Rising Yields Act” or the “GRAIN DRY Act.”

This section expands the storage facility loan program to include agricultural producers seeking to construct or upgrade storage facilities for propane primarily used for agricultural production, in addition to the existing eligible producers of grains, oilseeds, pulse crops, hay, renewable biomass, and other storable commodities (other than sugar). (Thus, the Secretary may now make storage facility loans for propane storage facilities used in agricultural production, as defined in 7 C.F.R. § 4279.2.)
