H.R. 1325 — Commercial Remote Sensing Amendment Act of 2025

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “Commercial Remote Sensing Amendment Act of 2025.”

This section revises the annual reporting requirements for the Secretary of Transportation on commercial space launch licensing by (1) shortening from 120 days to 60 days the deadline in 51 U.S.C. § 60121(c) for acting on a license application, and making a conforming change to the report on overdue applications; (2) narrowing the required reporting on notifications and information received under 51 U.S.C. § 60122 to notifications and information provided under paragraphs (5) and (6) of section 60122(b); (3) requiring the report to include all terms, conditions, or restrictions placed on licensees under section 60122; and (4) requiring a new list of all applications submitted and licenses granted, organized by regulatory tier and accompanied by the rationale for each tier categorization. This section also extends the reporting requirement’s sunset date to September 30, 2030 (from September 30, 2020).
