H.R. 1397 — Increasing Access to Dental Insurance Act

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “Increasing Access to Dental Insurance Act.”

This section prohibits the Secretary from restricting a qualified individual’s enrollment in a standalone dental plan offered through an Exchange established by the Secretary under 42 U.S.C. 18041(c) on the basis that the individual is not also enrolled in a qualified health plan through the Exchange. (Thus, eligible consumers may enroll in a standalone dental plan without first enrolling in a medical plan.)
