H.R. 1411 — No Veteran Should Go Hungry Act of 2025

This section establishes the short title of the Act as the “No Veteran Should Go Hungry Act of 2025.”

This section directs the Secretary of Defense to include information and counseling on Federal food and nutrition assistance programs in the Transition Assistance Program for servicemembers separating from the Armed Forces. It requires that the counseling be developed and provided in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture and cover programs including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) under 7 U.S.C. 2011 et seq. and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) under 42 U.S.C. 1786. (Thus, transitioning servicemembers would receive information about food assistance options available to eligible households, pregnant women, postpartum women, infants, and young children.)
