H.R. 1462 — To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to disallow the production tax credit and investment tax credit for offshore wind facilities placed in service in the inland navigable waters of the United States or the coastal waters of the United States.

This section disallows the investment tax credit under 26 U.S.C. § 48 and the clean electricity production tax credit under 26 U.S.C. § 45Y for certain offshore wind facilities located in the inland navigable waters of the United States or in the coastal waters of the United States. It also amends the renewable resources production tax credit under 26 U.S.C. § 45 to exclude those same facilities from eligibility. (Thus, offshore wind facilities placed in service after December 31, 2025, and electricity produced after that date by such facilities, would no longer qualify for these credits.)
