H.R. 1501 — Protecting Domestic Mining Act of 2025

This section prohibits the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council from finalizing, implementing, administering, or enforcing the proposed rule titled “Revising Scope of the Mining Sector of Projects That Are Eligible for Coverage Under Title 41 of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act” (88 Fed. Reg. 65350; September 22, 2023). (Title 41 of the FAST Act establishes coordinated permitting timelines and improvements for major infrastructure projects, including certain mining projects.)
