H.R. 1545 — Accountability in Government Efficiency Act

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States to submit to Congress, by December 31, 2025, a report on actions taken by the Department of Government Efficiency (established by Executive Order 14158). The report must include (1) an analysis of the effects of such actions—including reductions in civil service employees, terminations of federal programs, and pausing or restarting of federal programs—on the long-term financial, public health, and safety interests of the United States; and (2) the extent to which the Department of Government Efficiency has carried out such actions in compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. §552a) and 5 U.S.C. chapter 131.
