H.R. 1575 — No American Land for Communist China Act

This section directs the President to prohibit the purchase of real estate located adjacent to covered federal lands in the United States by (1) any agent of the government of the People's Republic of China or (2) any business owned 25% or more of the equity interests in, directly or indirectly, by that government. Covered federal lands include U.S.-owned land under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Agriculture (Forest Service lands), or Secretary of Energy, as well as Indian country (i.e., land within Indian reservations, dependent Indian communities, and Indian allotments where Indian title has not been extinguished). The term "United States" encompasses states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories or possessions.
