H.R. 1595 — Defund NPR Act

This section prohibits federal funds from being made available to or used to support National Public Radio (NPR) or any successor organization after the date of enactment, directly or indirectly, including through dues payments or programming purchases by public broadcast stations using such funds. It also makes conforming amendments to the Communications Act of 1934 by striking references to "National Public Radio" from Corporation for Public Broadcasting audit provisions and from the description of the National Endowment for Children's Educational Television.
