H.R. 1646 — Lactation Spaces for Veteran Moms Act

This section establishes a requirement for each medical center of the Department of Veterans Affairs to contain a lactation space—a hygienic place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view, free from intrusion, accessible to individuals with disabilities (including wheelchair users), contains a chair and working surface, is easy to locate, clearly marked with signage, and available for women veterans and members of the public to express breast milk—with implementation required not later than two years after enactment.
