H.R. 1667 — Acupuncture for Our Seniors Act of 2025

This section establishes Medicare Part B coverage for qualified acupuncturist services (i.e., acupuncture services and incident-to supplies legally authorized under State law when furnished by a qualified acupuncturist, defined as a State-licensed acupuncturist or equivalent—or a physician authorized to perform acupuncture). It provides payment for such services under the physician fee schedule; permits separate payment under that schedule (like other post-1999 services) when furnished by institutional providers and separate billing when furnished in inpatient hospital settings; and designates qualified acupuncturists as practitioners eligible for direct Medicare payment on an assignment-related basis. The amendments apply to services furnished on or after 270 days after the date of enactment.
