H.R. 1885 — Town of North Topsail Beach Coastal Barrier Resources System Map Amendment Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of the Interior, not later than 30 days after enactment, to correct the map entitled "John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System" (dated November 25, 2024) for unit L06 by excluding parcels in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina, that are designated by local zoning ordinance (i.e., regulations in effect for the town as of enactment) for purposes other than conservation. (Thus, these parcels—deemed to meet modification criteria under 16 U.S.C. 3503(g)(1)(B)—will no longer be part of the John H. Chafee Coastal Barrier Resources System, which generally prohibits federal expenditures and financial assistance, including flood insurance, that promote development on designated coastal barriers.)
