H.R. 1893 — LIONs Act of 2025

This section increases the maximum loan amount for an SBA 7(a) loan to $7,500,000 (from $3,750,000) (or if the gross loan amount would exceed $10,000,000 (from $5,000,000)).

This section increases maximum loan amounts that the Small Business Administration (SBA) may make to state and local development companies under the 504 loan program (i.e., for small business fixed assets such as plant acquisition, construction, conversion, or expansion) as follows: (1) to $10 million (from $5 million) for each small business concern if the proceeds are for general purposes or public policy goals under 15 U.S.C. 695(d)(3); and (2) to $10 million (from $5.5 million) for each project of a small manufacturer (i.e., primarily in NAICS sectors 31-33 with all U.S. production facilities), energy consumption reduction of at least 10%, or renewable energy or fuels production.
