H.R. 195 — CBP Relocation Act

This section directs the Secretary of Homeland Security, acting through the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), to relocate CBP headquarters—including its functions, personnel, and real assets—to the State of Texas not later than January 1, 2026. The new headquarters must be strategically located for handling crises at the U.S.-Mexico border; to implement the relocation, the Secretary must collaborate with the Texas General Land Office and may acquire land in Texas via written contract, subject to the Attorney General's federal land title approval standards.
