H.R. 1965 — Veteran Education Assistance Adjustment Act

This section increases the annual stipend for books, supplies, equipment, and other educational costs under the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program to $1,400 (from $1,000) for (1) eligible post-9/11 servicemembers, veterans, and family members pursuing degree programs at institutions of higher learning on more than a half-time basis and (2) individuals pursuing other approved programs of education. This section further requires annual increases (rounded to the nearest dollar), beginning in FY2026, to those amounts and to the amount payable for less-than-half-time enrollment or certain non-degree programs equal to the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (U.S. city average) over the prior 12-month period ending June 30.
