H.R. 2001 — To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize a grant program for addressing dental workforce needs.

This section increases annual authorization of appropriations for grants to states to develop and implement innovative programs addressing dental workforce needs in designated dental health professional shortage areas (i.e., Section 340G of the Public Health Service Act) to $15 million for each of FY2026 through FY2030, to remain available until expended (from $13,903,000 for each of FY2019 through FY2023). (Such grants support state activities including dentist loan repayment and forgiveness, recruitment and retention, practice expansion in shortage areas, dental residency programs, and new oral health facilities and services.)
