H.R. 2068 — Veterans Patient Advocacy Act

This section requires the Director of the Office of Patient Advocacy to ensure rural veterans' access to patient advocate services at Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities, including—to the extent practicable—assigning patient advocates to rural community-based outpatient clinics. It further requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to implement this provision not later than two years after enactment and directs the Comptroller General to submit to the congressional Committees on Veterans' Affairs, not later than two years after enactment, a report evaluating implementation.
