H.R. 2088 — Thriving Communities Act of 2025

This section establishes a Thriving Communities Grant Program, administered by the Secretary of Transportation in coordination with the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), to provide technical assistance and capacity building to the fastest growing communities for advancing transformative infrastructure projects. This section requires the Secretary of Transportation to submit a report to the House Committee on Appropriations describing (1) methods used under the program to promote transit-oriented development, (2) coordination level and respective roles with HUD, and (3) metrics for distributing funding. This section authorizes appropriations of $100 million annually to the Secretary of Transportation and $5.5 million annually to HUD to carry out the program.
