H.R. 2164 — Dayton National Cemetery Expansion Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, not later than 30 days after an offer from the Montgomery County Land Bank, to begin negotiating an agreement to accept at no cost approximately 58 acres of land in Dayton, Ohio, across from Dayton National Cemetery (i.e., bounded by McCall Street, South Gettysburg Avenue, Resaca Avenue, and U.S. Route 35), for use as a national cemetery, with the transfer to be completed no later than three years after the offer. (Thus, the provision expands burial space at the cemetery, which provides no-cost interments for eligible veterans and family members.) It further specifies that the requirement applies solely to this parcel and entity.
