H.R. 2195 — Feed Hungry Veterans Act of 2025

This section expands the definition of an "elderly individual" (i.e., includes individuals physically or mentally unfit for employment, exempting their SNAP households from work registration requirements) under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by (1) revising section 3(j)(4)(A) to qualify veterans with one service-connected disability rated at 60% or higher or two or more service-connected disabilities—at least one rated at 40% or higher—with a combined rating of 70% or higher under 38 U.S.C.; and (2) adding section 3(j)(4)(C) for veterans determined to be catastrophically disabled under 38 U.S.C. and section 3(j)(4)(D) for veterans under age 65 receiving a pension under 38 U.S.C. §1521. This section further amends SNAP work registration exemptions in section 6(d)(2) to add such veterans as a new subparagraph (G).
