H.R. 2221 — Office of Management and Budget Inspector General Act

This section establishes an Office of Inspector General for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) by (1) adding OMB to the statutory list of establishments subject to the Inspector General Act of 1978 (previously excluded) and designating the OMB Director as its head, (2) limiting the OMB IG's jurisdiction to matters specifically assigned to OMB by law, and (3) requiring the President to appoint an IG within 120 days of enactment in accordance with 5 U.S.C. §403(a).
