H.R. 2264 — Service-Connected Suicide Compensation Act

This section directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to pay dependency and indemnity compensation (DIC)—a tax-free monthly benefit to eligible survivors of veterans whose death resulted from a service-connected disability—to the surviving spouse, children, and parents of a veteran determined to have had a service-connected mental disorder and to have died by suicide.
