H.R. 2309 — Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act

This section requires states, beginning January 1, 2027, to screen Medicaid providers and suppliers against the Death Master File (i.e., the Social Security Administration's database of deceased persons, as defined in section 203(d) of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013) at enrollment or revalidation and not less frequently than quarterly thereafter to determine if such providers or suppliers are deceased.
