H.R. 2344 — Water ISAC Threat Protection Act

This section establishes a program, to be developed and carried out by the EPA Administrator not later than one year after enactment, to (1) encourage, support, and maintain participation by community water systems (as defined in the Safe Drinking Water Act), treatment works (as defined in the Federal Water Pollution Control Act), and other entities in the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC, the water sector's threat information-sharing entity); (2) offset membership costs for community water systems and treatment works; (3) expand EPA coordination with WaterISAC on water sector threat data collection and analysis; and (4) enhance WaterISAC tools and resources for sector monitoring and preparedness of community water systems and publicly owned treatment works against malevolent acts or natural hazards (both as defined in the Safe Drinking Water Act). This section authorizes $10 million for each of FY2026 and 2027, to remain available until expended.
