H.R. 2362 — VA Home Loan Awareness Act of 2025

This section requires the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, not later than 6 months after enactment, to direct Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to include below the military service question on the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) a disclaimer stating that an affirmative response may qualify the applicant for a VA home loan and directing consultation with the lender on eligibility. It further requires the Government Accountability Office, not later than 18 months after enactment, to report to Congress on whether less than 80% of lenders using the URLA have included the disclaimer.
