H.R. 2540 — SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act

This section increases the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) resource limit for an eligible individual living with a spouse to $20,000 in calendar year 2025 (from $3,000) and for an eligible individual living alone to $10,000 in calendar year 2025 (from $2,000), with both limits increased annually thereafter by the percentage change in the CPI-U (not less than the prior year's amount).
