H.R. 2592 — Aviation Medication Transparency Act of 2025

This section directs the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator, not later than one year after enactment, to publish and maintain on a public website a comprehensive, user-friendly list of medications and treatments safely prescribable to airmen (i.e., pilots and other aviation personnel) for medical certification purposes, including average stabilization periods with limited or no duties, "Do Not Issue" medications, explanations of allowable uses and prohibitions, and a mechanism for medical providers to contact the FAA. The list must be drafted in consultation with the Aeromedical Innovation and Modernization Working Group, certified exclusive bargaining representatives of FAA air traffic controllers under 5 U.S.C. §7111, the principal organization representing the largest certified collective bargaining representative of airline pilots, and other relevant stakeholders; must be provided to airmen when first seeking a license and medical certification; and must be updated annually thereafter.
