H.R. 2684 — Dignity in Housing Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to conduct biennial inspections of each public housing project (i.e., federally assisted rental housing for low-income families, elderly persons, and disabled individuals) with 100 or more dwelling units to verify compliance with uniform physical condition standards. Such inspections are (1) in addition to public housing agency-conducted inspections required under existing law; (2) performed by HUD employees or other inspectors obtained by the Secretary, excluding any public housing agency staff or agents; and (3) with results made publicly available online.
