H.R. 2733 — Pell Grant Flexibility Act

This section modifies the proration of Federal Pell Grant amounts for less-than-full-time enrollment by deeming a student with a disability—as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. 12102)—enrolled in an institution-determined reduced course load or 5 credits (or equivalent), whichever is greater, as full-time for grant amount calculation purposes. (Thus, such students receive the full scheduled Pell Grant award despite reduced enrollment; however, this deeming does not apply to lifetime semester eligibility calculations under subsection (d)(5).)
