H.R. 2740 — To modify the boundaries of the Talladega National Forest, and for other purposes.

This section modifies the boundaries of the Talladega National Forest to include the land depicted on the map entitled “Talladega National Forest Proposed Proclamation Boundary Addition” and dated September 6, 2024. Within that area, the Secretary of Agriculture may acquire land, waters, and interests therein from willing sellers by donation, exchange, or purchase using donated or appropriated funds and applicable National Forest System authorities (i.e., Weeks Law), without undue delay, with acquired lands managed in accordance with National Forest System laws.
