H.R. 2750 — Bridging the Broadband Gap Act of 2025

This section authorizes eligible entities under the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program—providing $42.45 billion in grants to states and territories for broadband deployment, mapping, and related efforts—to use grant funds for broadband vouchers to households in political subdivisions lacking adequate broadband service, as determined by the entity and prioritizing subdivisions with per capita income below the entity-wide median. Vouchers, available only to households in unserved or underserved locations (i.e., lacking minimum speeds and latency per broadband DATA maps), cover eligible satellite or fixed wireless costs: (1) 50% of broadband customer premises equipment purchase price or monthly lease/rental, limited to 12 consecutive months; and (2) up to $30 per month for service.
