H.R. 2792 — USRC Funding Eligibility Act

This section establishes the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (i.e., the entity responsible for redeveloping Union Station in Washington, DC) as an eligible grant recipient under four programs and provides a 100 percent federal share for grants awarded to it under each: (1) Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grants (formerly Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants); (2) national infrastructure project assistance grants under 49 U.S.C. 6701; (3) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program (CRISI) grants under 49 U.S.C. 22907 (which provides grants to improve passenger and freight rail systems for safety, efficiency, or reliability); and (4) Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail grants under 49 U.S.C. 24911.
