H.R. 2809 — Fair College Admissions for Students Act

This section prohibits institutions of higher education participating in federal student aid programs under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 from providing any preferential treatment in the admission process to applicants based on relationships to donors or alumni of the institution. The prohibition takes effect on the first day of the second award year (i.e., July 1–June 30 period, as defined in 20 U.S.C. 1088(a)) that begins after enactment.
