H.R. 2871 — Safeguarding U.S. Supply Chains Act

This section prohibits the advanced manufacturing production credit under section 45X of the Internal Revenue Code for eligible components produced by a foreign entity of concern (as defined in 15 U.S.C. §4651(8)). It further excludes from qualifying battery components any produced using technology designed, developed, manufactured, licensed, or supplied by such an entity. The restrictions apply to components produced and sold after the date of enactment.
