H.R. 2901 — Department of Homeland Security Officer for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Act

This section amends provisions governing the Officer for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (CRCL) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by (1) specifying that the Officer is appointed pursuant to section 103(d)(3) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002, and (2) requiring the Secretary to assign permanent staff and resources to assist the Officer.
