H.R. 2943 — Gabriel Rosenberg Dyspraxia/DCD Coverage Act

This section directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on coverage of items and services for treating dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder (DCD) under group health plans, group and individual health insurance coverage, Federal health care programs, and the Federal Employees Health Benefits program and to submit a report to Congress not later than one year after enactment. The report must examine (1) Medicare coverage; (2) state Medicaid coverage; (3) coverage under other Federal health care programs; (4) extent of private coverage; (5) types of covered items and services; (6) age cutoffs; (7) coverage barriers; (8) compliance with Public Health Service Act requirements for habilitative services and devices; (9) whether adults lose coverage due to diagnosis criteria; and (10)-(11) recommendations for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services guidance and improved private coverage.
