H.R. 30 — Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act

This section amends the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to add new grounds of inadmissibility under §212(a)(2) for any alien convicted of, who admits having committed, or who admits committing acts constituting the essential elements of (J) a sex offense (as defined in 34 U.S.C. 20911(5)) or conspiracy to commit such an offense or (K) a crime of domestic violence (as defined in INA §237(a)(2)(E)), stalking, child abuse, child neglect, child abandonment, or violation of the portion of a protection order (as defined in INA §237(a)(2)(E)) involving credible threats of violence, repeated harassment, or bodily injury. The section further amends INA §237(a)(2) to (1) revise the heading of subparagraph (E) by striking "crimes against children and" and inserting "and crimes against children" and expand clause (i) of that subparagraph to include any crime constituting domestic violence as defined in 34 U.S.C. 12291(a) regardless of whether the jurisdiction receives grant funding under that Act and (2) add subparagraph (G) making any alien convicted of a sex offense (as defined above) or conspiracy to commit such an offense deportable.
