H.R. 3016 — Combatting Hospital Monopolies Act

This section expands the definition of "corporation" in the Federal Trade Commission Act to include any hospital organization or cooperative hospital service organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of such Code. (Thus, such organizations are subject to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) jurisdiction as "corporations" for enforcement against unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce.)
